FAR AND AWAY

Far and away - sometimes it seems,
I will but hold you in my dreams.
The miles stretched within the gloom
Of nights spent alone in this room.

An idle burning in my chest
To meet your eyes in weary rest.
With arms of hope, holding you dear,
Softly singing away all fear.

Dreaming by day, the magic caught
In you, my every waking thought.
Dancing in white, my answered prayer,
What peace I've found in your arms there.

A whisper from poetic lips.
The soft touch of your fingertips.
Monumental each moment seems,
Making love to you in my dreams.

Decorated in perfect blue,
Comes the blending of one from two.
A love shared but in dream today,
The purest I've felt - far and away.

Michael,
One of your best, You had me feeling every feeling. And that to me is hard to do.
Wonderful poem. Sy

So longingly tender, Michael.
Like Nan said - patience - hard but the end result will be fantastic, I just know!

GAWSH Boy!
All that's missing is the run-over dog and your Grandma in jail! Then you;d have a bad country song!
Just kidding Mike, this is sweet and haunting with it's echoes of love. Another well done my friend!

Patience is a very hard thing to cultivate, especially when you are down to short time. Peace be yours my friend.

Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~.

It only seems that time is moving slowly. The will be here before you know it. Then it's the 'first day of the rest of your life'!

Ah Michael...the last line got me ......how very true!  I'm going to attempt to write a REAL poem that describes our love!  Mine have been rather Blah of late....*sigh  If only I can find the words to explain what is going on between us....It's quite magically mysterious, isn't it?  I was pleasantly surprised to find this one when I came on tonight....Thank you.  You know my love for you is pure and true.  We have made a connection like I've never made before.  Not just electronically speaking, either.  I do love you mi-Lord....***curtsies to you & kisses

Ahhh...this is sooo beautiful Michael.
Your poems of love to pFF are some of my favorites here at Passions....

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Thank you everybody for the warm replies and for embracing Femme's and mine relationship - or tolerating it...LOL  Patience is a virtue they say and I'm being as patient as i can - I know some things are "worth" waiting for...this being one of them.

Genny, mi-Lady, *bowing* - I humbly await your poem.  Love and miss ya.
