When I stepped inside
I hesitated at the line
a fear so surreal
I feel now is not my time

I saw the pure and blinding light
I **** my pants but held on tight
I longed to know
where I would go if I took to flight

But thinking of the life I lead
And all the things I owe to me
I chose living
and giving and wanting to be
