For Wanda

As I sit here all alone,
my thoughts return to you.
It seems you're all I think about
no matter what I do.

I listen for the phone to ring.
In hopes that maybe you'll call.
I know it's only wishful thinking
cause chances of that are very small.

If only you were in my arms,
life would be so good.
I'd smother you with sweet tender kisses,
if only, if only I could.

Let there be no doubt,
whatsoever in your mind.
I'll love you now and forever,
until the end of time.

My only wish is for you to be
my best friend, my lover and my wife.
And I will love you forever,
till my last breath of life.

Now I hope you know for certain,
my intentions are pure and true,
and that one day I'll hear from your lips,
the two little words - I do.
