Come, celebrate with joyous mirth
This wondrous gift of “Passions” worth.
So let us all with one accord
In gratitude, our hosts applaud.

Now see the rose of friendship bloom;
Let music echo through the room.
With warm rapport the poets mingle....
Dancing eyes and senses tingle!

Brightly burn the candles glowing,
Cake is cut and wine is flowing.
Coloured streamers hang festooned;
Starred resplendent night, full mooned.

What ties that bind this hearty party!
Cream of global literati,
Watching all its stress and troubles
Disappear in champagne bubbles!

I'm still new here and feel the party crasher, but I must agree with your sentiments.  I have truly enjoyed your work as well as the work of many others here at Passions.

Rod -

How wonderful of you
to throw a party !
We shall all attend.
The invitations engraved
with the simple words we pen.

Ron Carnell will certainly be
the 'host with the most'
Agree ?

Wonderful, Rod! I can see the scene now... intellectual conversations about Shakespeare, catching up on gossip, and games of spin-the-bottle. Cheers, everyone!

 "Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,
You shall possess the good of the earth and sun (there are millions of suns left,)
You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books,
You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me,
You shall listen to all sides and filter them from your self." >Walt Whitman, Song of Myself.
