Go If You Must
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Your haunting eyes searched the room,
trying to find a way out.
I cast my glance downward
so I would not see you go.
For in leaving
you have taken leave
of your senses.
At least that's what I want to believe.

Maybe it won't hurt as much,
Then again ..... maybe it will.
I heard the door close.
I knew that you were gone.

It's okay if you return tonight ...
I remembered
to forget
to lock the door.

It's hard to not let hurt lock our heart's door... Well done, Marge!

Marge, you must have graduated with a degree in hearts...you know them so well   Great poem, sure to be a favorite of mine.

Suthern -
It's easy to do it
IF you remember the good,
after the bad quits hurting.
Thanks.

Caroline -
I'm going to take that as
one of the nicest things I've
ever had said about me ...
(A Degree In Hearts)
Thank you sooooo much.
I write from the heart of
listening to others and trying
to lend a perspective I would have
hoped I'd have taken myself,
if it had been offered.

"I remembered
to forget
to lock the door."

Wonderful line, there.  Maybe one  day he'll lock it behind himself in returning.
Lovely poem, but sad, too.

My heart is always open.
Each knock eagerly answered.
Love is always welcomed within.

Welcome to Passion's.
Glad that you enjoyed reading this.
It's a bit sad (unusual for me)
but ... life offers us smiles and
tears with the full knowledge that
on any given day ... we may need one
or the other ... perhaps both.

Gunslinger -
My friend, I understand.
Pleased that you read it.

Love of children
Love of family
Love of lover
Love of love
That is all you're writing of
So lovely are the words you write
They are to me my heart's delight
Good poem
