Speak of me when I am gone
When I no longer greet the dawn
And bid no more the night farewell
Speak of me, remember well
All the times we shared together
And cherish them, please, forever.

Grieve not long when I depart
For I'll be still within your heart
I'll still live in each memory
You'll have still each thought of me
Take comfort that I'm home at last
The vic'try won, my labors past.

I shall be in God's embrace
I shall see His radiant face
And I'll ask He comfort you
Bless your days your whole life through
Dry your tears and your fears erase
Fill you full of His loving grace...

And bring you safely home to me
Where we'll dwell with Him eternally.

You must be gone already, Denise, because only an angel can write like this

To the world you might be just one person but to one person you might just be the world.

Denise -

This sits well within my heart.
Coping with my sister's recent
death has hung heavy.
As the tears fall ...
I try to grasp the
very thoughts you penned.

Thanks to you for reminding me.

Denise, you have the memory of an elephant

Kamla,I love it when you're on line first thing in our morning!

Marge, I was unaware of your tragedy. I have a special poem which I will post for you later today, which I wrote for my sister. It was one of the first Poems I wrote. I realize how great your loss. My sister is everything to me.

****applauding through tears******* Thank you!  I've been searching for the way to say it and you've put it so nicely.  My Dad simply went home early and the rest of us shall join him when our time is done.

Thank you Rainbow, I'm so glad it touched you that way!

Rob - I wrote this in the midst of my struggle with grief shortly after my father passed away last year. To see that it touched someone else's grief means a lot. Thank you.

A lovely piece, very moving without being maudlin. for some reason the word "Adorable" keeps coming to mind, even if seems apropos of nothing.  )

'Tis beautiful, Denise. But I HOPE you aren't planning on going anywhere soon.

Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!
