How many times in my life have I truly missed the mark?
How many occasions have I been totally in the dark?
Can I overcome the past and be a brand new creature?
If you'll let me, said the Lord, I will mold every feature.

I went to church and listened real hard
Became very convicted and let down my guard.
My life was a mess and I didn't know why.
I spent all my time blameing the other guy.

I heard of a love that washes like rain
Removes all sin and lets you start again..
A new man arises from out of the mire
A creature immortal, a new soul on fire.

Teardrops, raindrops always falling..
The Son shines through, a rainbow is dawning..
My life is not the same now as before
The promise He gave me of love forevermore...

I will never leave you or forsake you.  Jesus

Shine a light and darkness disappears.

You got it, MAEDavid! I liked the message and the read.

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

I remember Robert saying something about you couldn't write, or rhyme!  Well, this is darn good for someone who "can't write".....LOL  I do believe it runs in the family!     Seriously, this is a very heartfelt, and loving poem!  Rings beautiful music to my ears.....Great job, and back to the top it goes!

No Femme!  Those were her words not mine.    I always knew she had it in her.  Where do you think I got it from?

Seriously..beautiful passage, Mom.  See you this weekend.

A beautiful reminder of a wonderful promise.  Indeed, you are not in darkness anymore.
