Close your eyes and slip away
leave this world behind again
For tomorrow is another day
And what a day today has been.
May your dreams be sweet tonight
for morning comes so very soon.
And know I’m here 'mongst silver light
to guard you ‘neath the midnight moon.

Kevin -

A beautiful thought.
Look into the night sky ...
I also see your moon.
Encore !

Beautiful poem, Kevin!

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

Oh dear Kevin....this is romantically, and beautifully written!  I would like to say, this would make a lovely little rhyme to recite to a child when tucking him in at night....it's exquisite and peaceful! I truly applaude you for this one!  MORE MORE !!
