He Ain't Heavy
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

How could I not offer
to carry the woes of a friend,
when under the strain of burden
he may surely bend?

He may bend,
but he will not break,
as long as I am there,
to pick up his load and carry it,
showing him how much I care.

Weary brother let me help you.
I tell you it is no trouble.
For if it lightens your burden,
I'd be glad to carry double.

And when the time comes
for me to need your care,
come and help me, brother,
with the burdens
I must also bear.

Together we make a really strong team,
togetherness is what it's about.
'He ain't heavy ... he's my brother'
of that there is no doubt.

TheRaaven -
It's so easy to laugh and love with friends when things are rosy ... a real testament to who we are when we can help shoulder their load.
Thank you, Raaven.

Denise -
Yep, that's what friends are for.
Thank you for finding it to your liking.

Eloise -

Your opinions always matter to me.
Thanks for your kindness.

Nan -

Thank you.
It is what life is supposed to be about.
Many friends have helped to tote my load.
I'm sure it's what God meant when He said
he'd never give us more than we could carry.
He gives us the shoulders of friends
and in return ... we get to help shoulder
their loads.

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!
