You avoid me,
Doing as you please.
Is this how it is going to be --
You waiting for me to beg, down on my knees?
Well, open your eyes,
Can't you see?
I'm sick of this pain, my empty sighs.
My heart is paying such a fee --
Just to be near you,
To think there is a chance,
But there is nothing I can do,
I've even asked for just one last dance.
Could this ever be?
I believe it won't,
Because there never again will be a "we;"
For you, that seems to be just a major "don't."

Very sad, Beri. I enjoyed the poem.
