& refused to let my isolation
be a barrier to your caring.

still uneasy now with you,
unused to such familiarity,

My darling friend.
You don't know what this means.
Christmas is a rather lonely time and this is so beautiful for me.
Angela, it is not the small box of ornaments I keep from my childhood that represent christmas but the people who I love - and you and your family have become such.
This tribute brought tears and smiles and told me I am truly welcome.
And I am not that brave - I need people like you to give me strength!!!
