Juxtaposed
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Of love we spoke
on lovers peak.
You gave me the perfect rose.
Long before our love did meet
our hearts were juxtaposed.

Of thoughts and dreams
my mind did scheme,
to think of things so grand.
You gave me the perfect rose
and then you took my hand.

On lovers peak
of love we spoke.
You gave me the perfect rose.
Long after the moment of reckoning
our hearts were juxtaposed.

I'm out of roses, Marge, but I would gladly give my tulips!

Beautiful poem, btw.
