Dreamed

this place
of awakely sleeping

has captured me

who holds the cup
of fate
in a coolly tipping hand?

Choice
is a
slumbering word
flushed red
a dormant beauty
with no reviving kiss

I taste truths
bitter-mouthed
and swallow

so night blinded
the moon is just
a firefly
while
heart-clouded
I sleep
through walking

where is my waking?

Splendid piece Severn....

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

"Choice is a slumbering word", wow!  Severn you are so full--you bleed originality.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Severn,
Your wake is in the wooing,
The doing and pursuing.
Enjoyed the poem.

A poet's poet, that's for sure!
I meant what I said about the invitation!

Hey, lady! You wanna buy a magazine....or create one? Another A for excellence, Severn.

Lovely, Severn. Also kinda depressing. Choice is awake, even if only in moments.... I would love to see a contradictory poem about this from you!!

A fabulous poem.
Perfect wandering material.
But no reviving kiss? Can choice slumber on - even as the words which surround it breathe warmth into it?

I like the presentation of this.
Chin up !
I care !

And should you wake, what of then?
Waking is not necessarily a wonderful thing... at times, it is more painful than the dream.

What can I say that hasn't been already said?   I hate coming late to the party!
Severn, I've felt this way and more, beautiful thoughts from a wonderful soul
