i rip the cords that make us unite
its a simple thing
just a little to the right
as you dig the knife
deeper into my spine
i guess your becoming blind
missing my heart by inches
yet love lost is amusing us
to stitches
doesnt it make you feel better?
to make this agression
as light as a feather..
its such a hell of a different kind
a sanity..
a peace thats never to be mine

You're right--cord-sawing is a simple thing.  I love the imagery of this poem.  Love takes a piece of us every time.
