   Dear Santa

Try the fare,
Warm and friendly,
Wrap the green,
About you gently.

Muse the pregnant season
Weigh its weight,
Pan its change,
Taste its taste.

Feel the thrill,
Its warmth and joy.
Bless this moment,
Of employ.

Hold the pure,
Believe the seeming,
Stores of essence,
Dreaming, dreaming.

Get your key,
Unlock the locks,
By the tree,
Fill their socks.

Merry Christmas and
A happy New Year.

It captures the spirit of Christmas Eve well!

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!
