Do you ever stop to think,
That each time God forgives,
He might have to relive,
The agony he felt on the cross?

What if he feel the nails,
Everytime we fail?
What if he goes through the pain,
All over again?

I'm the one to blame,
Because of me He took the pain.
My side should've been beaten,
My heart should've been broken.

But it's His hands with the scars,
His face the one with tears.
How are you thanking Him...
For saving you?

--You might not believe in God
--But He believes in You.

If God believes in me, then he certainly believes in miracles...but I don't believe in God, I do however believe in faith and that faith can be in sunshine, yourself or a different kind of religion but I admire tremendously the thought behind your poem..it must be fantastic to believe so much....enjoy your faith Miriam because I think that's a strength in you!

severn...thank you for your reply
R.G.  I totally respect your point of view and thank you for your reply...One question though..You might not believe in God...but do you believe that he made the sun you have faith in?  Do you believe that the rainbow you love so much is a sign he gave us?  Just asking.

Miriam, BEAUTIFUL, inspiring words!  I have several students who don't believe in God.  I love the end of your poem.  I plan on sharing that thought with them!  Excellent work!

How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Miriam:  Oh my, I think perhaps we are getting out of the realms of poetry here, take it to another board and I'll be happy to share my thoughts with you but I believe it would be wrong to share them here and I was in the wrong to reply as I did here as well..

Tara:  Tell me if my humble poetry touches someone...would really boost my self es-steem. I have a little group at church from the ages of 6-9 which I give bible lessons to.  I get my inspiration from my brats.
R.G. You know my email if you wanna talk...I totally respect your point of view..just wanted to let you know.

You might not believe in God.
But He believes in You.
