Ol' Paddy loves his frosty mugs-o-beer
And nothin' better with it than a shot
Of ginger flavored brandy like cashmere
It warms him up a bit inside somewhat.

Ol' Paddy is a pal to ev'ryone
With cheers to all he slaps his money down
"Another round, I say, join in the fun
Come on, me lads, there is no cause to frown."

Ol' Paddy's wife at home sits by the phone
His supper on the table now's grown cold
Long countless nights like this she's spent alone
Just wishin' that her man were there to hold.

Ol' Paddy stumbles home it's gettin' late
Her tear stained note said "I no more could wait."

Denice,
How sad, she should have met him at the pub.
Good job liked the read.

An old Irish fellow named Paddy
Just loved to drink beer with the laddies.
But, while he sipped the foam
His wife sat home alone
And she said" That old Paddy's a baddie!"

Anything with an Irish flair is music to my ears, Denise. Nice one!

Ol Paddy loved a gal name of Erin
Whose features were perfectly flawless
He would hide out of sight
Near her window each night
For a chance to see Erin go Braless!

Toe made me!!!!!!

'Deer, you're going to find a lump of coal in your stocking if you keep telling fibs. LOL. Toe didn't make you misbehave... (but he'll probably join you as soon as he gets the chance! LOL)

I enjoyed the poem... but (just to keep this from being a battle along gender lines *G*)

If a stop at his pub was the guy's norm
Why was wife trying to keep the food warm?
Why have dinner at eight
If the man's always late
And you know that he'll hold true to form?
If she's tired of him being a real jerk
Meet him tomorrow after work
A hot woman, cold beer
And she'll never more fear
Where her man is... for's around HER he'll lurk!
