The storm
~First Knight~

Like the fire in the sky, so burns my love for you.
Deep within my heart, my feelings turning blue.
The flash of light, the pouring rain, the wind blowing hard.
I have lost your love for me I see, among the mighty storm.

Searching now in the darkness,
That you brought with you,
Grabbing for any moment shared,
Will you give one or two?

As the night takes over what once was light, I can see you fading away.
Taking my dreams, thoughts and spirit, and watching them all decay.

My life goes on,
Now the storm is gone,
Left only with growing pains.

Life renewed,
From your storm that brewed,
And only the water remains.

This poem could be a song!  Was that intended?  Very nice, Sir Knight.

I agree with Sally. It has a very lyrical quality. Nicely written, Knight.
