Give Me A Break ! ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 The earth below my feet did shiver and did shake. My world turned upside down. The sun rose in the West and by evening was Easterly bound. The leaves on the trees were blue, the sky above me was green. The grass was a shade of amber, the most beautiful I'd ever seen. What on earth was wrong with me? I know this can't be true. The dogs meowed. The cats bow-wowed. What's a gal to do? Just because you said hello, is not a reason to flip. I know these feelings aren't fake. Is it because I fell in love? Come on ! Give me a break ! The world is spinning like a top. I'm trying to maintain a semblance of balance until ... my balance, I regain. You set my world in a tizzy. I've lost my head over you. Whatever is the matter ? Is it also the matter with you? I think that we must be the only two people who know, that when you fall in love, you're heart is the first thing to go. You've got my heart a thumping like Thumper from the Bambi tale. It must be love, I'm loving and it's got me feeling swell. So if it isn't love, it must be something I ate. I don't know what it is, but heap more of it on my plate ! Don't give me any of your store-bought medicine. Cause whatever it is that's got me floating ... I don't ever want it to end. I'm content to feel this way. I'm in love for goodness sake ! The rest of the world can pass me by.
