Looking up to the heavens on a moonless night.
Stars cast down a shadow, as they shine so bright.
It's time to unwind the thoughts in my mind.
And put down on paper for me to find.

So many thoughts bleeding through my pen.
Revisiting images from way back when.
It took awhile for me to see,
The things you did, you did for me.

Remembering memories of days long gone.
Fills my heart with a joyous song.
You're the best friend that I have ever had.
You made me laugh, yet held me when I was sad.

Emotions drift back to a warm safe place.
Where you nurtured and cared within your embrace.
So now I'll give back to you what you once gave to me.
For you are so special and always will be.

As you shuffle slowly across the ground.
Your feeble legs are slowing you down.
I see you struggling from day to day.
I'll be right beside you all the way.

I'll cherish the precious time I have with you.
And make more memories to last a lifetime through.
While the clocks and calendars start to show your age.
I fear tomorrow, you may not be here to turn the page.

But when the fire finally goes out,
An angel you will be, without a doubt.
And when I hear my name whispered in the wind.
I know you will be watching over me, once again.

brought tears to my eyes

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

Thank you Denise sometimes it's memories that keep us going.  Hoot, Saxoness, Mary, suthern and Pepper again thanks to you too. It's hard to watch those around you growing old and weak.  So we make as many good memories as we can to hold on to when they are gone.
