The rain has stopped as we enter the courtyard.
The last drops glisten on the stone-lined ground.
The moon is full
as it, almost vainly, gazes at itself in
     nature's own mirror.

The wind sings a haunting tune
And somehow, it joins in harmony with the music of
     our hearts.
And as our bodies dance to this silent tune,
So too,
do our hearts and souls.

Ah yes, but as the heart thirsts for love,
So does my tongue thirst for water and wine.
We turn and join the others who have come here to
     share this moment
That nature has created for us
to quench that thirst.

And now, as I stand here with you, looking down on
the courtyard,
I know that this moment will never happen again.
But I am glad that we were able to share this moment of beauty.
But the beauty of the courtyard at night
Will never match the beauty of your face as it is
kissed by the first morning light.

That which gives light must endure burning

Beautiful.  I can see the whole scene and you've described it so clearly.
Well done.
