An anchor clock and a kitchen plaque
A little lamp and a cute knickknack;
That 'Irish Blessing' on my wall
And that calendar...I love them all.

That photograph and a homemade card
They are treasured gems I won't discard
Those little keepsakes from the past
Hold memories that'll always last.

Remembered smiles, ev'ry caring word
Such a rhapsody before unheard
All chords of perfect harmony
All pieced together so tenderly...

A symphony beyond compare
My memories, a treasure rare.

Denise this is comfy as a teddy bear! Wonderful memories...may they stay just as warm in your thoughts years from now as they do this day.

You're sure great at those sonnets Denise.

Thank you, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Severn for your kind comments! I'm glad you liked it. I wrote this shortly after my Dad passed away when I was reflecting on the few mementoes I had from him. They are more precious than gold to me. Thanks again. You people are so wonderful!

Denise - Truly a treasure.
Funny how the mementos are so precious to us and evoke such strong memories.
The nostalgic ~keeper-of-everything~ in me likes this very, very much.
And you're pretty gosh-darned wonderful yourself.

Memories are precious...after all, without our memories and experiences, who would we be?
