Missing part was found tonight,
Amongst children's cries of delight.
Santa brought the greatest gift,
Mended what was not a rift.

Friendship slowed by tragidy,
Time I gave so willingly.
Three years have past, nothing lost.
Friendship worth most any cost.

Coffee shared and time flew by,
Neither really wondered why.
Time not lost, we understand,
True friendship, through time, Always stand.

Give to those who need the space,
What is time in this rat race?
You give to them, just what they need,
True friendship grows fromt he seed.

I have a friend that suffered the greatest tragidy a parent can suffer. She lost her son to SIDS 3 years ago this feb. We were close, had coffe at least once a week. Our children are the same age and in the same classes. She needed time to work through her pain. She pushed everyone away. I gave her what she needed...Space. Tonight she invited me over for coffe and we talked...and talked...and talked. We have found again what was burried beneath pain and time. I thank her and God for this. I have missed her so much over these past 3 years.

Linda...welcome home.

Oh my..how tragic! I'm truly touched by this. I can not begin to imagine losing one of my babies.
I am glad you reconnected with eachother. I will keep this with me and say a little prayer. Very touching story, Marilyn. It brought a tear.

Marilyn - This is a lovely gift for both of you ... thank you for sharing it with us.

Friendship weaves
in and out
never failing
to connect
somewhere
down the
road
when we
just might
need it
most.

How sad for your friend! But I'm happy that she has found the strength to go on. Tell her we are thinking of her.

Very sorry to hear of something like this. I pray somehow time has helped ease the pain and seems as though it has. Thanks for sharing this.

I have not suffered such a loss so I can not say I understand. Glad she is now able to welcome back her friends. Also glad you were there when she was ready to welcome you back!

Seymour...thanks.

Nan...I agree.

lostboy...time dulls but this pain is inescapable. She is a wonder.

Ruth...As am I my friend...as am I.

Severn....I was afraid that the day would never come. I was willing to wait as long as she needed. 3 years...5 years...20 years...50 even. She means a great deal to me. I am so very grateful it only took 3 years.

Ohme....I would be no other place, this is where I belong, for all I call friend.
