A statement lost
What has passed by
As orators
Our lot to try

Some have felt
What we must say
None have dealt
With it this way

A pain remembered
Thus in verse
Can hold it's torment
So much the worse

Yet through expression
Dissipate
And leave but marks
As chalk on slate

------------------
Sometimes nonsense isn't .

Wonderful! There's a lot to this and it's done so concisely. Truth falling on deaf ears... somehow this sounds familiar... I thought it and you wrote it. Lovely!

I enjoy your pensive side as much as your humorous one, Doc....

Doreen, Nan , Severn,
Thanks for the comments , The king of cups stopped by the other day, and together with the duke of drink , we had a few . I was forced to use very few words so I would not slur them all over my keyboard .
