Shades Of Rose
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Rosy shades of crimson,
Victorian in their hue.
Rosy cheeks, a rosy nose
and rosy rendezvous.

Rosy thoughts
through rose-colored glasses.
Rosy cheeks
on little lasses.

Rosy cozy
little places,
filled with
rosy posies in
tiny little vases.

Rose-colored glasses
shades of friendship true.
Ring around the rosy,
being played with you.

Blue skies shine above me
With a saddened hue
Blue thoughts make the teardrops fall
From my eyes of blue.

Bluebirds circle overhead
Blue notes play a tune
With arrival of the night
I'll sit beneath blue moon.

Blue Bayou is on the juke
Blue smoke fills the air
Blue I'll be forever more
Until I see you there.

Balladeer, I love it.

A little heaven sent,
Now that's a shade of blue,
that if you'll let me,
I'll help you get through.

My little boy blue,
so quick to reply,
I'll make you rosy,
if you let me try.

Add a touch of blue
to the rose shades of mine,
we'd end up with purple ...
for which their is no rhyme.

WhiteDove - Thanks .. I think
the Balladeer sings my song !
Thank you for liking them both.

Purple would be the color of
My bruises showing through
'Cause if my sweetie saw this
I'd be purple, black and blue!

Bright Yellow birthday baloons
Yellow kites in month of June
Yellow springtime daffodils
Yellow sun my daytime fills

Yellow apples in the fall
Little girl with yellow ball
Yellow bows on little pups
Fields of yellow buttercups

Marge, I love your poetry!
You inspire us!

Elizabeth, my friend -

I've had my shades of rose,
a little bit of blue,
now here I am
with a little yellow too.

The ROSE and BLUE
PURPLE do make.
mix the BLUE and YELLOW ...
I'm GREEN with envy
for goodness sake.

Perhaps that's the shade
for Balladeer's sweetheart.
Let's just don't mention
the PURPLE part !

Denise - Thanks for liking it.
Yeah, lots of colors in here.
Sort of reminds me of the myriad
of colors of a stroll through
a rose garden.

Green leaves in spring,
Growing life sings,
Emeralds glow majestically,
The beauty of green I see.

Christmas trees, colored pine,
Visions dancing, so sublime,
The hue of your innocent eyes,
The color of envious sighs.

Truly a beauty is green,
Wherever it may be seen.
The only thing more beautiful,
Is this poetic rainbow!

Alwye -
I like your response.
It's, oh so nice.
I think I even
like it TWICE!

Poems of green,
are surely serene.
The colors I see
upon the tree.

The rainbow hues
of color here
are growing and glowing
with friendship cheer.

Rose, Blue, Purple,
Yellow and Green,
cuddled with Crimson Rose
beauties to be seen.

Such a garden
before me grows ...
started with just
a Shade of Rose.

*Thanks to each of you for adding
a beautiful color to the garden.
