Severn,
To make up for my blundering blunders, I'm writing you a little poem live, as I'm posting,

SEVERN,

Severn, goddess of the sea
Island queen of poetry
Stands upon New Zealand's shore
And whispers songs of nevermore

The song is heard around the world
And heartstrings' arms are then unfurled
They wrap around the Island Queen
And warm her most exquisite dream

Like willowy branch in summer breeze
She sways in beauty's gentle please
She sings her poetry to the wind
With all the wonder kept within

Her words like silver ripples shine
And catch the eye of space and time
A child of inner loveliness
A beautiful golden poetress

Love ya,
Elizabeth

Elizabeth is right Severn so far but not so far--although your blunder was not that bad the poem is wonderful and true Elizabeth.

WOOOOOWWW!
What a surprise this was to wake up to!
Thankyou hon!!!!
I'm going to print this off straight away.
I'm just stuttering here. All I can say is that I feel deeply honoured (NZ 'U' ) and very touched.
That you think that much of my poetry also deeply honours me, Liz.
And I agree - great writing for on the spot.

Here are heaps of 's for you and a few hugs!!
Sincerely, Kamla. (But you can call me K)

What a gem of a poem! Smooth and natural
flowing, well rhymed, just the right touch
of nostalgia, vivid description. And free
of the excessively introspective psychology
display that often renders modern poetry so boring.

We're just one big Passionate family, Severn...

Now about the poem - This being impromptu, I may have to be jealous of the ones you spend some time composing, ya think???

Severn, You're allowed to cry all you want

Nan, if you want see impromptu, read Severn's response to "Delicious Sorrow"
This will really make you jealous
