Isabel

The dream is there, but truth is too,
I have the presents of one in view.
One physical and one conjured love you see,
That falls in place for only me.
So I love her.

She rules my world of conjugation
A despotic ruler in approbation.
Do, do and do, a thoughtless Queen,
With nothing of remorse to wean.
Yet I love her.

She draws and drains my hearts devotion,
By petty things of little notion.
By lack of eye or lace embrace,
Or pause of breath or touch of face.
Yet I love her.

She picks my cloths, selects my food,
Insists what's good and calls my moods.
A strangers word, seems heaven born,
Mine, is only good for scorn.
Yet I love her.

She kisses me gently on the head,
Acknowledge of the living dead.
When I sleep and start to snore,
She wakes me evermore.
Yet I love her.

She seems to thrive on pure emotion,
Like moving waves upon the ocean.
Name a stance she will not meet,
Or bear a lance she wont unseat.
Yet I love her.

I wish I could define this word,
This word that makes me sound absurd.
I doubt she comprehend this poem,
A head fair made for brush and comb.
Yet I love her.

I will not change the way I feel,
Or turn or parry from her zeal.
I only hope that she will know,
The other me before I go.
So I love her, love her, love her.

I like this, Seymour... love isn't reserved for the flawless... just for those who can find someone who'll love them in spite of (or because of) their flaws. *S*

A head made for brush and comb? Oh, she's gonna love that when I explain it to her! Kidding, SY!!!! Knowing both of you, I find this poem to be thoroughly enjoyable. Better and better, SY.

Sy,
Isabel, the queen of queens
Majestically rules Iberia
With lovely grace she shows her face
On vine of blue wisteria
The mellowness of sturdy vine
The willowy flower so divine
And lovelier yet the taste sublime
Like deepened red exquisite wine
And souls together year to year
Deepens yet the love of flower
That hangs so graceful from the vine
Among the strength of wooded bower
And year to year and age to age
Wisteria's scent fills more the heart
And needs to feel the hand that cares
And will not bear to be apart
There's nothing in the world more grand
Than love that stands the test of time
For that is sure the greatest gift
A love that's true, A love sublime
Love ya,
Elizabeth
