Can't remember whether I posted this already. If so, I apologize.

Sweet Soul
by ©Richard Budig 1999

Lucky are we for whom candles out
As day breaks upon the firmament
For whom, like the sun that lights
The dark corners of the world,
Hope lights the heart's hidden rooms
And keeps company with the flame
That lights our lonely hours
As we travel from sun's sleepy end
To day's brave new search
For she whose sweet soul dwells within

I think I have found a true talent here.

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."
