As Long As There's A Mountain
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

I have been down in the valley
far too long this time.
Time to get about me, my senses.
Time for me to climb.

I could languish here in the valley,
as the darkness gathers 'round,
But I feel the need to escape this hole.
I feel the need to bound.

Bound upward, bound onward
to new heights that I can attain.
Climb steadily, steadily upward ...
'til I'm on the top again.

As long as there's a mountain,
I will rise, not without pain..
I will climb until I'm standing
on top of that mountain again.

Marge - Enjoyed this one very much. Very nice. Everyday there seems to always be a new and challenging mountain to climb.

That's a perfect place to be Marge. I stood on top of Pikes Peak and could see past my house and all the way into Kansas. At the bottom of the mountian all I could see was road. Loved this!

Elizabeth - You are quite a climber, gal.

Denise - Inspiration keeps us all going.

Eloise - The challenge is met when we climb.

OhMe - Oh, to stand atop Pikes Peak and share the view with you.

*Thank you all for your inspiration.
Mountains are made to be climbed.

Gotta love your attitude, Marge. Mountains are for you because you're always up!

so very encouraging - it's easy to stick around in the valley and lose the energy to climb up again - thanks for this Marge it's a great uplifter!!!

Balladeer - The climb is exhilarating.
Thanks for noticing, my friend.

Mirjam - It's okay to visit the valley once in a while, but not to linger too long.
The challenge is the climb - reaching the top is a worthy goal. (Small mountains count too ... as long as you're climbing.)
