Embrace

Rock me to sleep
with the rhythm of your heart,
run your fingers through my hair.
Bodies close,
sharing breath
in the final hours of today.
Limbs tangled
in a lover's knot.
Impossible to say
where you begin
and I end.

------------------
It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
--W.E. Henley

Tara, this is lovely.

tomorrow just a mystery.
And if today is good to me,
it will beat the heck out of day before yesterday!

'Tis a sweet embrace indeed you describe.

Tara - Gosh, I like this. Can just see the intermingling of the limbs. Just lovely.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, Brandonsdinmore! If you do a search with my name, you'll find some other stuff I've written.
