Stonehenge

This regiment of standing stones
Blackened by time
Forever standing to attention
And saluting their fallen comrades
Conceived in the womb of Mother Nature, a millennia ago
These majestic statues moulded by the hands of Englishmen
To guard this island nation of ours
A graceful circle of Triumphant arches
A testament to England’s glory
And a warning to others
Proud warriors to come alive
And battle dark skies that hover over England’s shores

Seti- A wonderful reminder of a history lesson learned. Your description of the mysterious Stonehenge beckons me to recall it's presence.

The megalithic site of Stonehenge lies on the Salisbury Plains ... a true mystery and a wonder of the world to behold.
