On a distant shipwreck
on some deserted shore
seagulls lose their patience
always cry for more

In another lifetime
Up some other tree
You and I are stranded
and you were loving me

So we thrive on berries
Run from natives too
But before I catch you,
you are in their brew

I begged their fearless leader
to take me instead of you
but he hungered for a potion-
and only yours would do

A bottle of your potion
still sits upon my chest
and, bless those clever natives
they caught you at your best

So now when I start pining
For the one who got away,
I just rub your bottle and
know forever you will stay.
