Sorry if this offends anyone. I feel rather strongly about children. I consider them human, too.

WHO SPEAKS FOR THE CHILDREN
by © Richard J. Budig

These tiny, unborn children...
They are alive.
I know they are
Because I feel it is so.
They sense good and evil,
Pleasure and pain,
The warmth and serenity
Of the place where they are.
Give me a man
Who speaks for the children.
Is there such a person?
I doubt it.
Children are so plentiful,
So easy to make.
Such a small investment --
A few minutes time.
Anyone can do it.
But roads, bullets and bombs...
These require resources.
So we treasure our bombs.
And kill our treasure,
And let ourselves be beguiled
By men who neither feel what they mean,
Nor mean what that say.

Oohh yes, I'm behind you 100%! Not offended at all, and am quite pleased you spoke up so! I get so angry at those who consider it ok to kill, just because the infant hasn't "seen the light of day" yet...or hasn't taken his first breath...Does that make them any less "alive" in there? Absolutely not....
I think one of the most intriguing things I heard, was a doctor who stated that he had found an unborn child, even at just 6 mos. in the womb, will hold up his hand to shield his eyes, if a flashlight is shined on the mother's stomach - - now you tell me they aren't alive yet !! Or worthy of keeping! I'll be quiet now, just a firm believer like you. Thanks for sharing! Very powerful read!

Broker: I agree about the violence in this world but not that all men are uncaring, some care almost too much and others simply don't care at all....but hopefully, the majority of us will always care and do what we can to give love and provide for the children of our world...I hope so....

Broker, nothing offensive here just a sad reality...there just need to be more people to not only say they care but actually show it.
