Have a Norman Rockwell Day

Imagine you to make a living
by painting a day of Thanksgiving,
bringing to life in colored content
how Americana lives are spent.

Look again into these treasured
lives upon which time was measured
and see how the painter exposed their souls,
from the very young, to the very old.

But what made Rockwell’s gift worth while
is that he had a knack to make his subjects smile,
a grin, a cheer, a laugh, no sneers,
within their hearts you saw no fear.

So look ‘round your laden table today,
as you are granted the freedom to pray;
give blessed thanks that you can say,
“Lord, let this be a Norman Rockwell Day.”

Sunshine....I just love Norman Rockwell paintings.... don't they give you such a warm feeling???

Terrific, Sunshine! I think nothing epitomizes the goodness of Americana more that a Norman Rockwell painting. Any day in his name is a great day, for sure.
