Chances

I'd rather stand and say that
there is nothing to declare.
Than risk a bitter taste of life
that promises despair.
Emotions are so fragile,
Sometimes just can't take the heat.
I'd rather be unsung than be
the anthem of defeat

But if I am unsung, then
I have had no victory.
And that's a bitter taste of life
with no appeal to me.
Emotions are so fragile
sometimes just can't take the cold
I may end up some sing along
but I'm going for the gold!

------------------
Yesterday is history, tomorrow just a mystery. And if today is good to me how could I ask for more?

Denise, I've done the sing-a-long bit.

Nan, I think I'd rather lose than forfeit the game all together, LOL

You've got the right idea, ohme. Go for the gold....even if you have to settle for the silver!

'Going for the gold' is right ... and knowing that she reached it is enlightening~
