Buffet Of Beauty
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

Before us stands a buffet offering,
sent by God from above.
He gathered the marvels of the world
and brought them to the table of love.

The beauty of the sun
when it gently kisses the day.
The falling of the soft, soft rain
to wash our cares away.

The grandeur of the mountains
that come into view in awesome splendor.
The valleys, lakes and streams
their beauty to surrender.

The fishes and the birds,
the wolf and the gazelle ...
caught in a moment of freedom,
we are captured in their spell.

The lush green grasses growing,
new strength to be found.
Struggling after each clipping
knowing it will be mowed down.

The sunset coming
at the end of day.
Time to put the beauty
of the sights away.

But then comes the night
her own splendor she unveils.
The moon, the stars, the shadows,
their beauty I inhale.

I sat at God's buffet table
set out in awesome array,
I gazed in wondrous amazement
at the beauty He portrays.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*My wish for you is that you enjoy
ALL YOU CAN VIEW at God's buffet.
Happy Thanksgiving
~Marge~
Wow! That would be all I have to say, but I can't leave it at that. It's great, Marge. What a wonderful way to think of all God's blessings, as a buffet!
OhMe - So happy to know that you shared the view. Thanks for the compliment.
Seymour - Thanks for the 'excellent' ...
God's buffet is always so.
God's buffet is spread
before us everyday ...
but, like you, I await
the Christmas feast.
Oh, what joy that will be.
Thank you, Isis ...
It is no mystery,
God prepared the buffet
for all of us to see.
What a view !
God has shared with us all ...
time to share with others,
his bountiful beauty
to recall.
A little bit of magic,
that's just the perfect word.
I think if God was listening ...
he'd like what He just heard.
Elizabeth - Now, when I'm through laughing ... I'll try to answer you !
Ahem ! Thank you for your precious review.
It means so much, coming from your view.
If ever a buffet of beauty I've beheld ...
it's the friendship I've found with you.
