Thanks for Giving

Thank you O'Lord for giving me eternal life,
Helping me to rid my soul of sin and strife,

And Thank you O'Lord for the breath that I breathe,
No other love does my heart cleave.

Thank you for my home,my family, having food to eat,
For my coat, and shoes for my feet,

Thank you for water and rain,
For comfort through our sorrows and pain,

Thank you for love, peace and kindness,
For healing the sick and the blindness,

Thank you for creation and all you have made,
For beaches of sun, and trees of shade,

Thank you for dark, and for night,
For being the truth and our light,

Thank you for friends, loved ones dear,
For love of laughter and love through tears,

Thank you for forgiveness, human emotion,
For committment and devotion,

Thank you for compassion, and sympathy,
For your Holy Spirit within me,

Thank you for freedom, a country that is blessed,
For our jobs, and for our times of rest.

Thank you for charity, gifts from the heart,
To help others make a new start.

Thank you for music and praise,
For living to see another day,

Thank you for the bible,
Your words of wisdom and truth,

For every book written inside, even the book about Ruth,

Thank you for churches to worship and serve you,
For missionaries who sacrifice it all,even if to save a few,

Thank you for policemen,Doctors,fireman,Emts,and volunteers,
For memories of loved ones thoughout the years,

Thank you for pastors who stand on your word,
For ears that hear, what the heart has heard,

Thank you for Children and for birth,
For our world,our earth

Thank you for mothers and fathers who love us and eachother,
For our sisters and our brothers,

Thank you for teachers who teach us alot,
For patience and grace and Knowledge of what,

Thank you for our home in heaven,
For each hour we are given,

Thank you Lord Jesus, For mercy and forgiveness,
For dieing for me on Calverys tree,

Thank you for everything,
For the best things in life are FREE,

For all the little things we take for granted,
Even the seeds we have planted into a soul.

Thanks for giving me a part of you,
So your love will shine through,
That they might know.

Your sins can be forgiven and you can be whiter than snow.

Thank you Lord for the day of Thanksgiving,
A time to be thankful for all we have had,
in this life we have been living!

We do have much to be thankful for.... but EVEN the book about Ruth??? LOL. For some strange reason, that's my favorite book of the Bible! *G*

Yes, we do have alot to be thankful for..and this was a very good reminder and poem....(By the way, I had no idea that the Bible mentioned baseball at all?, but Babe Ruth was really something wasn't he?)....

Have a REAL and Thankful,Thanksgiving to you all.

And I like the book of Ruth...it was the only book that rhymed with the word truth!LOL!

I have one more addition....

Thank you Lord for Poetry and prose,
Words so beautiful as that of a rose.

I am glad to be back...after spending much needed time with the Lord and Family.
