About Flying

I know now
how birds can fly
on feathered wings
sings joyous song
fair acrobatic dancing
prancing through the air
what thoughts of gravity?
brevity certainly not!
I do know
though I can't fly.

Robert I liked this, and then when I looked at your signature I laughed. If you are flying your dreaming. Considering the poem and all it just struck me funny!

Thanks Rebecca.....do you know what style this is??? The first line came to me at work one day and when I got home and wrote it down I noticed it rhymed across. Do you see that?? So I decided to do it all the way through. I never did figure out what style it was.

I may never fly
On graceful wing
Or voice my song
Like robins sing
Or know the secrets
Revealed in flight
In heavens dark
On starry night
I may never know
What wings are for
But mark my words
One day I'll soar
