Water Color Artist

Known now where artist's passions rest
I leaped the easel's stable nest
Into the artist's paper rack
Of purest white of paper stack

For not does oil have the grace
Of water color's perfect face
And now I've learned where fire burns
And passion in the artist churns

It's on the purest page of white
Where passions flow and warm the night
Exquisite water color art
Is captured in the artist's heart

Before he takes the brush in hand
He holds me close at his command
And holds me not on table low
But as to water's perfect flow

And face to face with artist's eyes
I saw the passion not of lies
But only truth that pure love knows
The vision of a crimson rose

Then looked he long into my soul
And studied long the bristle's goal
And when his readied hand did rise
The tears of love fell from his eyes

They wet the page with splendid dew
The perfect wet for water's hue
He knew the moment was the right
And took his brush to warm the night

Before the tears could fairly dry
He painted quick, not asked the why
The love inside him now awoke
And every stroke a perfect stroke

For water color cannot hide
A misplaced stroke, a subtle lie
And did he paint upon the page
His delicate hand the passion rage

He gently painted velvet lines
Of crimson petals well defined
Then when the artist's hand was done
He looked in awe at what he won

A blushing rose upon the white
A velvet bloom in candle light
So perfect was the rose he bore
He kept the rose forever more

T'was just a dream the paper knows
The water color artist's rose
A dream I see within his eyes
As well within my breath he cries

And love is there, but yet he waits
To open up the passion gates
And wait I yet from age to age
A trembling leaf, a roseless page

Elizabeth,
It is true water color cannot hide,
Misplaced strokes of subtle lie.
For the paper must be damp or wet,
Before the color can let or set.
And when the background sets to dry,
Then the finer strokes can ply.
Love the poem.

Sy,

Water color artist please
Paint a rose on waiting leaf
Background dry and ready waits
To open up the passion gates
And layer yet as ready be
Each layer caste a glow in me
A velvet rose, a velvet blush
A rose of love from artist brush

Elizabeth

I smell the fragrance
of the rose,
brought to canvas
by the artist's brush.
Gently stroked to life,
with gentle verse,
by the poet's touch.

A true Crimson Rose of Beauty.

Sy,
In simple words a compliment
A long to savor condiment
From you, this means a lot
Elizabeth

Balladeer,

It is quite easy, that is true
Go back and read those written by you
Thanks, Elizabeth

Marge,
You have a lovely way with words
Most beatiful compliment I've heard
Thank you,
Elizabeth
