Goodbye light,
peach light,
strange light (warm and soft)

Goodbye stranger's illuminated, painted faces
fire in the streets and buildings
windows red
and glazed eyes burning

Welcome to the bleak lagoon,
empty and alone,
hollow and serene.

Welcome scared and morbid causes
sullen features sunken in
and stepping out in fear of death

Great Night
Mysterious and overwhelming Night,
Never ending Night
as the sun falls softly behind the shadows

I think that your poetry does have merit - My question to you is: Don't you think that you're sullying your talent with the use of this cognomen?
