(This was orginally posted as a reply to a poem by Seymore entitled "Candelabra", but I was asked to post it alone...so here it is with my appologies to Seymore)

The Forgotten Candelabra

Wherein the candelabra rests
Once bright, now marred by rust
The door shut tight, the room sealed up
Left to gather dust
The candles long have been put out
The dreams have faded too
Where once we danced are memories
Left of me and you
The ghosts of us, they haunt the room
Where time and space reside
And though I stand outside the door
My heart was left inside

You evoked such a picture of sad longing here. Very well done!

Excellent Ruth, as always. I do feel the pain of this.
