HOW MUCH?

How much I love thee, do you ask
So feeble I to meet the task
Naught answer in my heart I find
To soothe a little child mind

For God has blessed me by His grace
With mother's love and child's face
But then forgot He to impart
A measure for a mother's heart

Nor did He then create a sea
To hold the love I have for thee
Nor galaxy so vaste above
To match the fathoms of my love

Wisdom numbs the mother's tongue
Of child's question sweetly sung
But does her heart so tender touch
The angel lyrics of "How much?"

Elizabeth - Beautiful.

No answer to the question
of 'how much' does a mother love ...
the yardstick starts in the cradle
and stretches to the heavens above.

Beyond all reason,
each and every season.
Always more than yesterday,
never more than tomorrow.

Marge,

A mother's heart who knows the feel
Of love for child and love that's real
But God the only one who knows
The measure of a Crimson Rose

Denise,

Denise, Denise, Poet of grace
Has looked upon the child's face
Though other mother lost for word
She sang a song the angels heard
For never lacking from her heart
The golden strains of angel harp
So beautious always her refrain
Like softness of a summer rain
