In For A Penny
by ©Richard J. Budig 1997

It’s late when I come home
The lights are out
The house is quiet
And I know in my heart
I’ve been out too late
Gone way too long
But I know she’s here
Alone in our bed
Huggin’ her pillow
And waitin’ for me
And as I slip quietly inside
I hear an echo in my head
Somethin’ she says
When she’s about had it with me
Well, darlin’, she sighs,
In for a penny, In for a pound
So I slip into bed quiet as I can
Fightin’ back a lump in my throat
And wishin’ there was a way
I could hold her and make it right
And just about then
She moves into me spoon fashion
Puts her arm around me
And whispers in my ear
Hey, baby. In for a penny, in for a pound

This made me smile! I think it's because of how lucky you were she even LET you crawl into bed! Most guys would be on the couch, or in the doghouse! hehe Sounds like your woman is quite a loving one! You should make it home a little earlier next time!

I am lucky enough to be with a women who handles this as well.

Don't loose her. There's only so many pennys in a pound.

We've got the spoon thing happening too.

Best to you both

Oh, this is beautiful. It speaks so clearly of the forgiving power of love
