In A Fog

Where are you?
Far from shore
where foamy waves
lap rhythmically on great
hulls of steel that carry
you further away from me

What thoughts cross
your mind? As the ocean
rocks you gently to
sleep and the sea
serenades you with its
sounds, drowning out
my words

What do you see?
When you look out
across the waters
as deep and blue
as my eyes that
shine in love for you
As the mist settles in
what do you see?

Do you look into
your heart...
Or is it clouded
by the fog too?

Tyson...I miss you.
Ruth

Oh, Ruth ... this is so hauntingly sad and lovely. I think that's a tear in my heart that just showed up on my face.

Another sad, touching poem. Beautifully done.
May the rain and fog soon be a thing of the past!

Oh Ruth, this is so beautiful and so hauntingly sad, very well written. I loved the first verse.
