As The Soul Is Bent
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

A friend asked the question,
"Where do broken souls go?"
I'd have to say
I'm not sure that I know.

For I've never seen
a soul break,
though I've seen one bend,
shiver and shake.

But, in the bending,
you find a new way to go ...
that you didn't notice
'til you bent just so.

The next time you bend,
or start to bow ...
lift your eyes to the sky,
you'll stand straight somehow.

For looking up
is looking at God.
He's ready to help with
the path you now trod.

He offered his hand
and He softly said,
"I'll lift you higher
when you lift your head."

"Be the best
of who you can be ...
take my hand child,
walk with me."

"If you follow I will lead you,
where you need to go, I'll be.
Take heed ... then take my hand
and walk with me."

a wonderfully written spiritual poem.
It takes a great deal to put all your faith
into something or someone you can't see, but well worth the risk.
This reminds me of a quote I seen years ago
"Some things must first be believed to be seen."
It is so true.

DebbieMac - Yes, we need to put even more faith in the things that He promised.
Believing is believing ... seeing is the results of believing.

Elizabeth - Your enjoyment of what I write means a lot to me. Thank you. I will call you one of these nights ... honest injun !

This is beautiful, Marge, and I definitely agree, some things we just can't 'see' until we take that step to believe!
