Being in Love

When love leaves
the heart waits
alone
looking
searching
for the one
who brings it back
into a life
so empty of itself
devoid of the spark
and…
when love returns
so does the warmth
of life
with the bearer coming
in from out
and back again
to you and….
to the one
you finally love
a second time.
