They Met on the Net

They met on the net
What a strange place
She could not hear his voice
He could not see her face

But she wrote his story
And he sung her song
And somehow they knew
That they'd get along

They talked and they talked
Became very good friends
They met on the net
But that's not where it ends

He asked her to meet him
And she agreed to
They were destined to meet
So what else could they do

They met on the net
And in person once more
She knew it was him
When he entered the door

He recognized her
As he entered the place
Smiled when he saw her
And then touched her face

It was like he had known her
Not for months but for years
With the joy that he felt
His eyes brimmed with tears

They met on the net
And that was all right
But, when she saw him
It was love at first sight

He asked for her hand
And then gave her a ring
When she said I will
His heart started to sing

Oh they met on the net
Then they met in real life
It was destined to be
And she now is his wife

Hoot!!! Oh My Goodness!!! This is so sweet, and I don't know what to say!

I do have to clarify one point...we haven't made any plans for marriage...yet, anyway. Who knows what lies in store for the two of us...

But what a lovely and heartfelt tribute...I'm beyond touched, and I know Ali was too...cause when he read it with me all he could do was giggle.

What a wonderful person you are!

Wow...
Hoot, I really don't know what to say...Satiate brought me tears of joy, and you have managed to steal my breath...thank you for such a wonderful piece.

And, as with Satiate, we have not discussed marriage plans...yet. It is still too early in the game for such...yet. However, I know that I would love nothing more than to walk through the rest of my life with her at my side.

Alicat loves Satiate

I'm really sorry for the misunderstanding Alicat and Satiate....I thought one of you posted a poem a little while ago about marriage or an engagement ring...blushing at my blunder here. When I saw the poem you guys wrote and responded to tonight, I just had to post this one.
Oh my, that will teach me to keep my big mouth shut...Laughing.
Anyway, I'm glad you both liked it and aren't too mad about the marriage thing ;-)
Wishing you both the very best
Ruth

Please Ruth! No need for apologies!! This is a beautiful poem, written by a beautiful person.

Psssst....Ruth....over here...I know what poem you're talking about. Yasse...don't say anything, but Ali is a little..um, airheaded...at times. He just gets so excited when he posts and all that. We e e ell, when he posted that poem, he forgot to put the date that it was written on the bottom. (he actually wrote it a couple years ago) You know how distracted cats can get, and there must have been a shiny piece of paper or something close by that caught his attention...cause he just forgot to clarify that..little...detail...

Ahem! Anyway...really, Thank You very much for writing and posting this!
