Have you ever thought of how
Time is rather strange?
Each minute may last just as long
But somehow it seems to change.
A month seems like forever
When it's something to live through
For a long awaited meeting
And a chance to talk with you.
But that same time would fly by
If I knew that at its end
I would have to say farewell
To a trusted friend.
The earth's turn on its axis
Isn't dependent on one
But when you're gone the clouds come out
And drift across my sun.
I guess that what I'm saying
Is that you are greatly missed.
I know I said it badly...
Still I hope you got my gist.

And the ticking and the tocking don't go unheard, while the waiting and the watching are becoming ubsurd...We hear your cry and offer only solace in your solitude. Write on!

RS: Thanks for the solace and the encouragement! *G*

Suthern, you little muser! Your words are so true. Lotta difference between a week at work and a week on vacation. Somehow they just don't go at the same speed. Let's hear some more of your ponderings!

I've often thought of time and what a trickster it is. Great poem and you sure didn't say it badly.

Well done, Suthern, and not "badly" either, don't be so hard on yourself. Had me musing.
