Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed?
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

I laughed out loud at the thoughts
going through my head.
It seems that I should ask,
who's been sleeping in my bed?

Tiny little paw prints
across the silken sheets.
Little fluffs of puppy,
on tiny little feet.

A quick inspection
of the lump I see ...
under the sheets,
looking back at me.

Two tiny black eyes
and a winsome little face ...
I could not help but laugh
at catching her in this place.

A little bundle of fur,
a bundle of fun indeed,
scampering over the pillows ...
trying to play with me.
---------------------------------------------
*To laughter that only a tiny Pomeranian,
named Dallas, could deliver.

ROFL...my little bit of fluff just bit straight through my mobile phone cable and it was plugged in...oh well, guess that leaves him with 7 lives.. and me with a huge bill...Aren't they cute..

This one brought smiles, Marge... A few years ago, my kitty's habit of sleeping under the covers almost got her into trouble. I'd asked a neighbor to look after my cats while I was on vacation... and came back to the hideous stench of rotten cat food and a much used litter box. It seems my neighbor had checked in several days, then saw the covers on my bed neatly turned down and thought I was back home.... not knowing it had been a bit chilly and my cat had crawled under the bedspread. Fortunately, there was plenty of dry food and water... After that, my instructions have always included that care continues until contacted by me! *G*

Much lighter than the poem I expected to find under the title...deliciously so. Well done!

Really liked this one Marge. Reminded me of my bassett hound when he was a puppy.

Hoot, RainbowGirl, Suthern,Seymour, RSEvans, ILoveIt,Martie ..... isn't it amazing the humor we find in our furry friends. My Dallas is a cutie pie for sure.
She thinks it's great folly to jump in bed and play peekaboo by hiding under the sheets and crawling out to surprise me.
