A piece of cake!

I ache
For many a new baked cake
My loins an oven
My desire a mixture
Of lust and love,
A baker a blender
I tamper with emotion
To cook all my reasoning,
In confusion
I trifle!

Is it love
I wake each morning
Or lust
I ache to smell
Some say Mmmmm…
Weigh the spice
And savoir,
Then a seasoning tonight,
I add a pinchly desire
The menu
Mistress or wife!

I’m cooked;
Goosed oven, two cakes at door!

Beware the good barkeep's daughter,
Serving generous food and drink.
There's none more seductive than she,
Her delicacies come with a wink.

Come the night she will find you,
Soft and warm, with a come hither look.
No telling the passions you'll flame,
What cauldron you might stir and cook.

So if you are bespoken, as I,
Love for another in your heart.
Do as I did, avert your stare,
And with the falling sun depart.

UK: You prepared a fine dish for us all to taste. Thanks for the treat.

Great poem UK and I think the cook has stirred up some symbolism that smells pretty good.

Hero, very neat poem. I enjoyed it.
But be careful, Hot, burn!

That it is UK. I wrote it about six months ago, but never posted it. Thou I have a wife this too is written from a purely fictional point of view with a background that involves FRP and a bard character I play. Ya, I know more detail than ya needed... but there it is. Thanks for askin'
